Mount Magnet is located in the Murchison region of Western Australia and is approximately 560km north of Perth. Mount Magnet is a six hour drive from Perth straight up the Great Northern Highway. The closest major regional centre to Mount Magnet is the city of Geraldton which is 350km west along the Geraldton-Mt Magnet Road.

Mount Magnet has a commercial airport and is only an hour and fifteen minute flight from Perth.
